There was a question about how to get historical empire borders today. This reminds me how essential such a service listing all countries is. https://osm-boundaries.com/
Of course, I don’t ask that someone fork it. I know there are pages about projects on wiki. Is there one listing all boundary=administrative now? Can start with admin_level=2 for modern descendants only. If not, I could try making one that includes an Overpass Ultra link for downloading. It will be useful for tracking progress, and inviting contributions as well.
