Broken homepage map (in some languages) and inspector images

The map on the homepage is currently nonfunctional in some languages. If you are seeing this issue, please switch the interface to English for now. To change your interface language, click the 文A button in the top-right corner of the page, then choose English from the menu.

Additionally, Wikipedia excerpts and image previews in the inspector sidebar are also broken. The only workaround is to click on the linked tag value.

We are actively working on these issues. You can follow our progress on GitHub:

The slippy map on the homepage works in every language once again. A fix for the images and Wikipedia excerpts in the inspector sidebar is undergoing review and testing. Thanks everyone for your patience.

The known regressions from last week’s deployment have now been fixed. The slippy map on the homepage once again localizes labels to match the interface language – now in all four OHM layers, not just Historical. The inspector’s images and Wikipedia excerpts have been restored, along with the time slider when a specific element is selected. If you see any other lingering issues, please let us know!
